Leigh Brown Recovery

Connected. Informed. Recovered.

Recovery is universally available. And it is also free. But the alcoholic or addict must understand the fundamental nature of the disease and also know exactly what to do to recover. Without a clear picture of the problem, the correct solution is of no interest, and the alcoholic or addict will easily get swept up in the latest medical recovery fad or therapeutic “breakthrough.” He or she must understand why they have failed in the past and what makes it so hard for people to have success in sobriety.

Leigh Brown is a recovered alcoholic, writer, entrepreneur, and mother who, in 2014 was at the brink of death, yet again. With advanced end-stage alcoholism, she had very little hope of survival, let alone chance of leading a successful and happy sober life. An encounter with a recovered alcoholic smashed the delusion she had been living with and broke through her thick defensive barriers resulting from trauma, fear, and shame. This encounter facilitated the beginning of an epic journey - out of addiction, out of misery, and into a blessed life of recovery. This event also compelled her to begin the lifelong process of working with other suffering alcoholics and addicts, sharing words of hope and strength, and helping them begin the process of recovery.
