CONSULTING

If addicts and alcoholics could have learned how to help themselves and applied that information to create better lives, they would have done so already. Long before the consequences started to stack up against them, I promise you that the alcoholic or addict already knew that they wanted to minimize the damages caused by their lifestyle. But that is not all they want. Secretly, every addict and alcoholic desperately wants to achieve the effect they once experienced from a drink or a drug, without the excruciating side effects that now accompany drinking or using.

And yet, even taking this secret desire into account, addiction is not a problem of moral bankruptcy or weak will. It effects people from all walks of life, all backgrounds, societies, and nationalities. It does not discriminate. Yet, for how widespread and long-documented addiction is, it is still one of the most widely misunderstood ailments. Addiction is not a behavioral issue. It requires precise and immediate treatment. But without a clear picture of the problem and the correct path to recovery, addicts and alcoholics will continue to use and drink until they die or go permanently insane.
